My Solo Trip, a journey of finding myself and overcoming fears.
My name is Rebecca, I live in a small town in New Hampshire, and come from a very large family.
As a result, I have never had to go out and do anything by myself. There has always been someone around to go with me whenever I wanted to do something.
As I have gotten older I realized that in never doing things on my own, I had developed a fear.
I believe that the fear was a direct result of lack of confidence in myself, which resulted from the lack of experience.

When I was younger, I dreamed of growing up and working on a real cattle ranch, and most books that I ever read would be set in the west. I wanted to learn how to herd cattle, fix fence, train horses, do ranch chores, and camp out. I finally came across Horseworks and from the description, it was exactly what I had been looking for. A place where I could experience all those things that I had wanted to do for so long, but in a setting where everything was provided so I wouldn’t have to worry about how I would get around, where I would sleep or how I would get meals. I felt like if I could just get to the ranch, everything would be ok, I wouldn’t be on my own anymore. I just had to worry about getting through all the airports.
The morning dawned, my greatest adventure was upon me… (continued)
