Not a traditional guest ranch vacation, dude ranch holiday or volunteer opportunity, HorseWorks' working horse & cattle ranch Internships offer full-immersion in daily ranch life!  Internships are for people of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels who want to want to take their Western horseback riding to the next level!

2019 Schedule

Natural Horsmanship

Discover your natural horsemanship training skills, explore career options through hands-on work with large animals!

Wrangle Horses

Learn to wrangle horses from pasture, help pitch hay, bottle feed bum calves, imprint foals, and go for long and short trail rides on a variety of horses learning from every horse you ride, or bond with one horse!

Safety & Confidence

Safety is our priority.  Building your confidence and large animal skills with horses is our goal.  See what former Interns of all ages from around the world say on the Testimonials page and on our Facebook page.  And message us any time with questions about activities, availability and travel arrangements.

Overseas Travelers

Coming from overseas?  See info under Reservations - How to Book on Esta Form, Visas and Flights for UK, Scandinavian and European travelers.  We're here to help, too!

Passion for Horses

Internships are for anyone with a passion for horses, love of nature and sense of adventure!  The price decreases with duration of stay to $250/week after four weeks, with additional returning Ranch Wrangler Intern Discounts for referrals, Interns attending Pat Wyse Clinics in Townsend, MT, participants in our 12-part Horse Training and Wrangler Certification Programs, as well as credits for horse board and purchase.  Many Interns return over the years and become part of our ranch family!

Regardless of your initial reasons for coming, get acquainted with the West, the horses, the ranch, the people and the opportunities that horses can open up for you!
